Reluctant Sale of this well used Camper
Engine/ Gearbox
The Engine is a 2000cc OHC engine from a Carlton fitted to a down draught carb. It’s totally reliable starts easily runs and revs quietly and is in excellent condition. It pulls the camper very well with good acceleration and a top speed of 75mph – yet is very good on fuel giving a average of 22mpg on a 300 mile round trip
Exterior body
She’s solid but a bit dented and battered with bumps, scrapes and marks on the alloy rear body work nothing drastic, the front cab is solid and has had extensive welding repairs the front cab is painted white and the decals on the body are faded. It requires the rear gas cupboard hatch re skinning with aluminium which is included the chrome on the front bumper is dull
Chassis
It’s solid and has had welding repairs done – it was wire bruised and red oxide primed then under sealed. To the best of my knowledge all the mounts and cross members are solid
The Camper starts and drives well the brakes all function properly. Tyres are good and have plenty of tread and stay inflated. The camper doesn’t overheat and pulls well up hill. Handbrake works and all the gears work well. There is a slight vibration in the steering at 60mph I believe it needs a wheel balance
Interior
KITCHEN
Access is through a rear stable type caravan door. You enter the Kitchenette which has ply wood cupboards (NOT INCLUDED) and a black marble worktop. A sink is included there are spaces for a cooker (NOT INCLUDED) and fridge as well as all plumbing and wiring. There is a full height cupboard which requires new door opposite a breakfast bar which has cupboards built in it has a good size sliding window above the sink
Toilet Shower
To your right is a toilet shower unit it has space for a porti potty type toilet (NOT INCLUDED) But a fold up basin shower unit and tray is built in the toilet shower requires decorating and a new door it has a frosted caravan type window
Living sleeping area
Two seat bases a split by a table which folds down to form a double bed the cushions forming the mattress. Overhead is a full length cupboard which requires new doors. Opposite is a single bed/ sofa with a cupboard overhead. It has large sliding windows either side and is decorated in wallpaper. The cushions are covered in a denim type fabric. There are storage areas under the seats and a battery storage box and water tank fillable from the outside under the single sofa
Over cab
There is a large over cab bedroom. It requires the plywood roof replacing in this area. It’s quite a large area and has a solid base this are requires decoration and a access step
Cab
The basic cab is solid and sound however this is the area that requires work. There is only one seat in the drives side and there are no carpets. It requires a new wooden battery box cover under the passenger seat. The door cards and handles are included
Extras
A Large 20ftside awning is included, tow bar. Number plate of NCK 44IT which once MOT’d can be sold to cover the price of the van!
The camper was used up until the end of the summer of 2008 work was started to re do the cab but illness and a house move means I have neither space to store nor the ability to finish. She has slept 3 young children and 2 adults and has travelled many miles in our ownership. Whilst in storage the cooker /fridge were stolen
There is no MOT or TAX keys and V5 are included
